**Buy the Shark Rocket Turbo if you want a cheap, light corded stick that handles pet hair without tangles. Pay more for the Shark Detect + Reveal if you clean a lot of hard floors and dark corners and want suction that adapts to your stroke plus lights that show fine dust.** Both are corded stick vacuums under 10 pounds that convert to a handheld, use self-cleaning anti-hair-wrap brushrolls, and carry a 5-year limited warranty. SharkNinja announced both on Oct. 7, 2026, at $199.99 (Rocket Turbo) and $249.99 (Detect + Reveal).

This is a **research-based comparison** built from SharkNinja's launch release and product pages. We have not tested these vacuums ourselves, so there are no ratings or verdicts here.

## What are the two new Shark corded sticks?

- **Shark Rocket Turbo Corded Stick Vacuum (TV301, Navy).** Shark's simpler model. It uses a self-cleaning Turbo brushroll with Anti-Hair Wrap Technology, which Shark says removes hair from the brushroll as you clean so you don't have to cut away wrapped strands.
- **Shark Detect + Reveal Corded Stick Vacuum (ZS501, Storm).** The step-up model. It adds Direction Detect, which Shark says recognizes forward and reverse movement and optimizes suction in both directions, and Reveal Technology, a precision-angled blue LED beam meant to light up dust you'd otherwise miss.

Both are corded, so there's no battery to charge or wear out, and runtime is limited only by the cord. The trade-off is that you have to plug in and move the cord from room to room.

## Side-by-side: Rocket Turbo vs. Detect + Reveal

Specs come from SharkNinja's product pages and launch release (checked Oct. 11, 2026).

Shark's "under 10 lbs" claim on both product pages is measured without the cord and accessories.

## What does the Detect + Reveal add?

Three features, all aimed at finding and picking up debris you can't easily see:

1. **Direction Detect.** The vacuum senses whether you're pushing or pulling and adjusts suction for each stroke. Shark claims this cleans faster than its IZ860H model when tested on carpet. That's a manufacturer claim, not an independent test.
2. **Reveal Technology.** A blue LED beam angled low across the floor to make fine dust and debris stand out. It's most useful on hard floors, where dust is hard to spot in normal light.
3. **LED headlights.** SharkNinja lists headlights for the Detect + Reveal to light up dark areas such as under beds and couches. The Rocket Turbo's product page doesn't list headlights.

Shark also says the Detect + Reveal's removable hand vacuum weighs less than 3 pounds. SharkNinja doesn't publish a hand-vac weight for the Rocket Turbo.

## What do both vacuums do the same?

- **Hair handling.** Both have self-cleaning brushrolls designed to stop hair from wrapping, which is the main selling point for pet owners and long-haired households.
- **Stick-to-handheld conversion.** Both detach into a hand vacuum for stairs, furniture, upholstery, and car interiors.
- **Low-profile nozzles.** Shark says both slim floor nozzles reach under furniture.
- **Freestanding storage.** The hand vac clips to the bottom of the wand so the vacuum stands up on its own in a closet.
- **Pet tools.** Both ship with a Pet Multi-Tool. The Rocket Turbo adds a Crevice Tool, and the Detect + Reveal adds a Pet Crevice Tool.

## How much do they cost right now?

SharkNinja launched the Rocket Turbo at $199.99 and the Detect + Reveal at $249.99. As of Oct. 11, 2026, SharkNinja.com listed the Rocket Turbo at **$129.99** and the Detect + Reveal at its full **$249.99**, which makes the gap $120 instead of $50. Prices move often during the holiday shopping season, so compare both before you decide.

> **Note:**
> On the same day, SharkNinja.com listed the older Shark PowerDetect Corded Stick Vacuum at $229.99, marked down from $329.99. If you're leaning toward the Detect + Reveal at full price, it's worth comparing the two models' features before you buy.

## Reliability, repairability, and warranty

Both models went on sale in October 2026, so there's no long-term reliability data yet, and the Detect + Reveal's sensing electronics are new. We found no CPSC recall for either model as of Oct. 11, 2026. Check [CPSC recalls](https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls) with your model number if you buy later.

**Warranty.** SharkNinja lists a **five-year limited warranty** on both the TV301 and the ZS501. That's long for a vacuum in this price range. Register the vacuum with SharkNinja and keep your receipt.

**Parts.** SharkNinja already sells replacement parts for both. For the Rocket Turbo, its product page lists a Foam & Felt Filter Kit (XFFV300), an 8-inch Crevice Tool (255FLIH380), and a Pet Multi-Tool (449FFJV390). For the Detect + Reveal, it lists a Post-Motor Filter (XPMFZS500) plus optional tools such as an upholstery tool, a dusting brush, and an extension wand. Being able to buy filters directly is a good sign for keeping either vacuum running for years.

> **Warning:**
> Unplug the vacuum before you empty the dust cup, wash or replace filters, or clear a clog or anything caught in the brushroll. Follow the filter cleaning and drying steps in your owner's guide; reinstalling a damp filter can damage the motor.

## Outlets, cord, and storage

Neither vacuum needs a charging dock, but both need an outlet near each area you clean. SharkNinja's product pages don't list cord length for either model, so if you have large rooms or few outlets, check the owner's guide or the box before you buy. For storage, the Detect + Reveal is shorter on paper (46.06 inches tall vs. 49.69 inches), which can help in a tight closet.

## Choose the Rocket Turbo if...

- You want the lowest price, especially while it's discounted
- Pet hair on carpets and furniture is your main problem
- You don't need lights or suction that adapts to your stroke

## Choose the Detect + Reveal if...

- You have lots of hard floors where fine dust is hard to see
- You clean under beds and in dark corners and want headlights
- You want the lighter hand vac (under 3 pounds) for stairs and upholstery

## Bottom line

The Shark Rocket Turbo and Detect + Reveal share the same basics: corded power, under 10 pounds, anti-hair-wrap brushrolls, handheld conversion, and a 5-year limited warranty. The Detect + Reveal adds Direction Detect, a blue dust-revealing LED, and headlights. At SharkNinja.com prices on Oct. 11, 2026, that upgrade costs $120, so the Rocket Turbo is the value pick unless those lights and sensors matter to you.
